Wednesday

Day 01  Hanoi - Arrival  (D)

Meet on arrival at Hanoi/Noi Bai International airport, transfer to Sunway Hotel or similar for check in

p.m.Cyclo tour (2 hours), visit to the Old quarter of Hanoi and Ngoc Son Temple.

  Dinner at Wild Rice restaurant

Evening:Drop off at Thang Long theatre for water puppet show, the unique Vietnamese traditional art. This art originates from rural festivals in Vietnam. The artists-men and women-stand waist-deep in the water to manipulate the puppets, making them move about, talk and laugh and even dance on the surface of the water. End of the show and transfer to hotel.

07.30Visit Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum (closed on Monday, Friday and the whole October and November) Residence and One Pillar Pagoda

09.30Drive to Halong, 180 km east of Hanoi.

On arrival take a wooden boat and have seafood lunch on board. Discover Halong Bay, listed as a World Heritage Area of outstanding natural beauty. “Dragon descending to the sea“ as it is known in Vietnamese, picturesque Halong Bay has more than 3,000 limestone islets rising from the clear emerald water, many of them containing beautiful grottoes. A 4-hour boat trip will visit to Thien Cung and Dau Go grottoes.

Drop off in Halong town. Proceed to Hai Phong transfer to hotel for check-in.

Friday

  Hai Phong – Hanoi – Danang – Hoi An    (B/L/D)

08.00Drive to Hai Phong, visit to the Garden theatre, Du Hang Pagoda and Kenh temple.

10.00Transfer back to Hanoi

Lunch at Red Arecas restaurant (or Brother Cafe as alternative)

p.mVisit to Temple of Literature built in the 11^th century as Vietnam’s first university, Quan Thanh Temple and Fine Art Museum.

16.00    Transfer to the Hanoi airport

17.00Depart Hanoi by VN 317 for Danang

18.15  Danang, Proceed to Hoi An. Transfer to the Hoi An Hotel or similar for check-in.

Saturday 

Day 04   Hoi An - Danang – Hoi An  (B/L/D)

  Breakfast at hotel

08.00Proceed to Danang, transfer to visit Cham Museum; Marble Mountain and China Beach.

  Back to Hoi An. Lunch at White Lanterns restaurant

Discover the historic town which used to be a prosperous seaport city during the 16^th to 18^th centuries.  Its sizeable community of foreign merchants resulted in a unique architectural style with Vietnamese, Chinese and Japanese influences. Visit the Phuc Kien hall, Japanese covered bridge, Tan Ky old house and the workshop of traditional occupation of Hoi An ancient town.

Day 05   Hoi An - Danang - Hue   (B/L/D)

  Breakfast at hotel

07.30Drive to Hue across the Hai Van Pass (Pass of the Ocean Clouds), passing through many pretty red-tiled villages with fruit orchards, enjoying spectacular views of sky and sea.

Arrival on Hue, the royal city of Vietnam’s last ruling dynasty and transfer to the Saigon Morin Hotel or similar, then visit Tu Duc tomb, 

Lunch at Royal Park restaurant (or Tropical Garden restaurant as alternative) 

p.m. Boat trip on the Perfume River to visit Thien Mu Pagoda.

Visit Imperial Citadel and Dong Ba  market

Monday  

Day 06  Hue - Ho Chi Minh City(B/L/D)

07.00Transfer from Phubai airport

09.15Depart Hue by VN 251 for Ho Chi Minh City.

10.35     Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City and transfer to the Equatorial Hotel or similar 

Lunch at Vietnam House restaurant

p.m. City tour: visit China town, Thien Hau Pagoda, History Museum and former Presidential Palace. Make photo stops at the famous tourist sites such as Notre Dame Church, and Central Post Office.

Tuesday  

Day 07  Ho Chi Minh City – Cu Chi – Tay Ninh  (B/L/D)

Breakfast at hotel

AmExcursion to Tay Ninh church, center of the Cao-Daism religion which combines Buddhism, Christianity, Taoism and Confucianism. Lunch en route.

PmVisit Cu Chi Tunnels, an amazing complex of the underground tunnels used during the Vietnam war.

Drive back to Ho Chi Minh City.

Wednesday  

Day 08  Ho Chi Minh City – My Tho – Can Tho  (B/L/D)

  Breakfast at hotel

08:00Pick up at hotel. Drive to My Tho (2-hour drive from Ho Chi Minh City) and visit Vinh Trang Pagoda. My Tho is a prosperous town of 175,000 inhabitants in the Mekong Delta.  It is famous for its extensive orchards and immense rice fields. Enjoy a boat ride on the Mekong River and visit an orchard on an island, with lunch en route at a local restaurant. 

Continue with a visit to a snake farm before proceeding to Can Tho.

Thursday   

Day 09  Can Tho – Thot Not – Chau Doc   (B/L/D)

Breakfast at hotel

Boat trip on Rach Ngong river and visit fruit orchard and Cai Rang floating market. 

Lunch at local restaurant.

Orient tour in town visit to the Kh’mer temple

Continue to Chau Doc  on the route visits to the Bang Lang bird sanctuary. Check-in at the Victoria Chau Doc Hotel.

Friday

Day 10  Chau Doc – Ho Chi Minh City   (B/L/D)

a.m. Cruise on the Mekong river to visit the boat trip to Islamic Champa Village and fishing breeding houses on the Mekong River. Visit Sam Mountain, Lady Xu Temple, Thoai Ngoc Hau Temple, Tay An Pagoda. Depart Chau Doc to Ho Chi Minh City.

  Depart Chau Doc to Ho Chi Minh City.
