ITINERARY:

Day 01   Hanoi – Arrival (D) 

... Meet on arrival at Hanoi / Noi Bai International Airport and transfer to hotel for check in.

p.m.  Have a glimpse of Hanoi on rikshaw combined with walking around Hoan Kiem lake and the old quarter. Dinner at Cha Ca La Vong (one course dinner with fish and fresh vermicelli, specialty of Hanoi).

Accommodation.

Day 02 Hanoi – Hai Phong  (B/L/D)

Breakfast.

a.m.  Take the early morning train ride to Hai Phong on the local train. Upon arrival in Hai Phong, pick up and orientation tour the town of Hai Phong. Proceed to Halong, board on Huong Hai Junk and sail off for one day on the bay.

  Dinner and night on board.

 

Day 03 Halong Bay – Hanoi    (B/L/D)

Contemplate sunrise on Halong and continue the cruise till noon. Brunch is served during the cruise. Disembark early afternoon and drive back to Hanoi. 

Evening: water puppet show, the unique Vietnamese traditional art followed by dinner at Wild Rice restaurant.

Day 04 Hanoi – Hue  (B/L/D)

Morning “Tai Chi” exercise with locals at one of the nice parks of Hanoi and have “pho” (beef or chicken noodle soup) at a local restaurant then visit Dong Xuan market. Leisure till transfer to the airport for early afternoon flight to Hue. Light lunch upon arrival. Direct tour to Kim Long village, tour on bike around this beautiful area with typical houses of Hue architecture dotted in lush gardens once lived the high-rankers of Hue imperial court and now their descendants still remain there.

  Dinner and accommodation at hotel.

Day 05 Hue  (B/L/D)

Breakfast 

Boat ride on Perfume River, passing by the house-boat village and Dong Ba market to Thien Mu Pagoda. Transfer by coach to visit Minh Mang tomb. Lunch at a local restaurant. Afternoon visit to Tu Duc tomb and explore the Imperial Citadel on cyclo.

Vegetarian dinner at Tinh Gia Vien restaurant, run by a descendant of the royal family. Accommodation.

Day 06 Hue - Danang - Hoi  An   (B/L/D)

Breakfast.

a.m.  Take local train to Danang. Though the train offers only hard seats but this is the most sceneric train ride passing through many pretty red-tiled villages with fruit orchards the spectacular view from Hai Van Pass. Arrive in Danang at noon.

Lunch at local restaurant.

p.m. Visit Cham museum, sight the finest collection of Cham sculpture then proceed to Hoi An. Walking tour in Hoi An, discover the historic town which used to be a prosperous seaport city during the 16th to 18th centuries and still remains the influence of Chinese and Japanese cultures those came as traders during the prosperous time of this port.

Accommodation.

Day 07 Hoi An - Danang – Quy Nhon    (B/L/D)

Breakfast.

a.m.  Transfer to Danang for morning train to Quy Nhon. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel. We recommend Life Resort for all category as this is a unique property offering a sense of nature and complete tranquility for accommodation. For this afternoon and evening, we let you free to enjoy the beach, the pool, try out the six-hand massage at the resort or just simply laying down at the pool bar reading your book or sipping your favorite cocktail. Depend on the day, you could join with one the local fishing boats in the evening to go offshore to catch cuttle-fish (check with hotel reception for arrangement, fee at your own account).

Day 08 Quy Nhon - Nha Trang    (B/L/D)

Breakfast.

a.m.  Monring at leisure. After lunch, visit the “Banh It” Cham tower then overland transfer to Nha Trang.

  Dinner at Sailing Club situated on the beach. Accommodation.

 

Day 09 Nha Trang – Ho Chi Minh City  (B/L/D)

Breakfast.

a.m.  Sightseeing in cyclo, visit Po Nagar Cham Tower, a sacred Hindu site dating back to the 2nd century, the tower was built between the 7th and 12th centuries and is still used today as a place of pilgrimage for the Cham and Vietnamese Buddhists. End the tour with a short walk at Dam market, sight and sense the smell of dried-seafood products. Afternoon flight to Ho Chi Minh City.

  Enjoy authentic local food at Ngon restaurant, a dining out place of Saigonan.

Day 10   Ho Chi Minh City – Cu Chi  (B/L/D)

  Breakfast

Walking tour in the morning to Ben Thanh market, the colonial quarter of former Saigon, visit the former Presidential Palace and History Museum. Lunch at local restaurant.

p.m.  Drive to Cu Chi (75 km) visit an amazing complex of underground tunnels used during the Vietnam war. On the way, visit a local house making rice paper. Return to Ho Chi Minh city.

Dinner and accommodation.

Day 11   Ho Chi Minh City – Vinh Long    (B/L/D)

Breakfast.

a.m.  Coach trip to Vinh Long (2.30 hours drive from Ho Chi Minh City). Boat ride to Cai Be floating market and visit some mills producing food-stuff for local use. Lunch at a farmer’s house. Drive back to Ho Chi Minh City.

Farewell dinner at Mandarin.

Day 12   Ho Chi Minh City – Departure  (B)

Breakfast.

Leisure time until transfer to Ho Chi Minh City / Tan Son Nhat International Airport for departure.
