Day 01 Hanoi Halong (L/D) Pick up at hotel in Hanoi and transfer 160 km east to Halong, which includes sightseeing on the way. Upon arrival at Halong Bay board Huong Hai junk for an unforgettable cruise. Discover Halong Bay, listed as a World Heritage Area of outstanding natural beauty. Dragon descending to the sea as it is known in Vietnamese. Picturesque Halong Bay has more than 3,000 limestone islets rising from the clear emerald water, many of them containing beautiful grottoes such as Thien Cung and Dau Go. Enjoy a seafood lunch on board. A fantastic cruise in Ha Long bay, visit Dinh Huong island, Ga Choi island, Dog island, Sail island, visit Sung Sot cave and a swim at Titov beach. Enjoy dinner on board while watching sunset. Fishing, drinking Vietnamese wine, and spending a night on board. Day 02 Halong Hanoi (B/L/D) Breakfast being served on boat. A morning cruise to visit Mans head island, Tortoise island, visit Luon cave by small bamboo boat, Bai Tu Long bay, Toad island, Bai tho mountain. Return to Halong city and have lunch on board. Arrive Halong wharf then transfer back to Hanoi to your hotel. Dinner and overnight at hotel in Hanoi. Day 03 Hanoi Hue Dong Hoi (B/L/D) Transfer to airport for early morning flight to Hue. Upon arrival drive north on Nation Route 1A to 17* North, the former border between North and South Vietnam until the collapse of the Saigon Regime in 1975. The Demilitarised Zone (DMZ) was created in April, 1954 as a result of the Geneva Conference ending the war between the Viet Minh and the French. The DMZ extends 5 km north and south of the Ben Hai River and runs approximately 100 km from the South China Sea to the Laos border. Visit also the nearby tunnels of Vinh Moc. Continue to Donh Hoi and check in to hotel. Rest of afternoon free at leisure. Day 04 Dong Hoi Phong Nha Cave Hue (B/L/D) Breakfast at hotel. Drive to Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park and visit the famous caves. The karst formation of Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park has evolved some 400 million years ago and so is the oldest major karst area in Asia. There are around 65 km of caves and underground rivers to find in this area. Drive back to Hue (4 hours 190 km) in the afternoon and check in to hotel. Dinner and overnight at hotel. Day 05 Hue (B/L/D) Breakfast at hotel. In the morning, pick-up from the hotel, take a boat cruise along the romantic Perfume River to visit Thien Mu Pagoda, one of the oldest ancient architectural structures for religious workship in Hue then visit a Conical Hat and an incense stick-making village, Dong Ba market. Lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the elaborate mausoleums of emperors Tu Duc and Khai Dinh and the Imperial Citadel from where the Nguyen Dynasty ruled between 1802 and 1945. Dinner in a local restaurant and overnight at hotel.
Day 06 Hue Hoi An (B/L/D) Breakfast at hotel. Depart Hue for Danang across the Hai Van Pass, passing through many pretty red-tiled villages with fruit orchards, enjoying spectacular views of sky and sea. Visit Cham Museum and proceed to Hoi An. Lunch in a local restaurant before checking in to hotel. In the afternoon take a walking tour of Hoi An, discover the historic town which used to be a prosperous seaport city during the 16th to 18th centuries. Visit Hoi An colourful local market, Tan Ky old house, Fukien Assembly Hall, and the 400-year-old Japanese covered bridge. Travellers can also see local residents raise silkworms and produce silk for Hoi An's burgeoning textile industry. Dinner and overnight at hotel. Day 07 Hoi An My Son Danang (B/L/D) Breakfast at hotel. In the morning, drive 40 km Southwest of Hoi An, a half day trip to visit the capital and religious centre of the former Champa Kingdom, My Son, and has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage site. In a lush green valley, are dozens of red brick towers and sanctuaries dating from between the 7th and 13th centuries. Lunch at local restaurant then transfer to Danang airport for departure in the afternoon. *** End of service ***
