DAY 01   HA NOI - ARRIVAL    (D)

Meet upon arrival at Noi Bai international airport by our guide and Vietnamese ladies in traditional dress. Transfer to downtown which is 40 km away and a 45 minutes drive.

Be welcomed by a dragon dance show at the entrance of Melia hotel, enjoy fruit juice welcome drink during key distribution. Cyclo tour (approximately 2 hours) around the old quarter ofHanoi.

DAY 02   HA NOI – HAI PHONG    (B/L/D)

Breakfast.

Bound for Hai Phong, 110 km fromHanoi. On the way we visit Bat Trang village, well-known by its hand-made porcelain. In addition to the traditional designs for urns, pots and tableware, some innovative craftsmen are now introducing the more avant-garde designs ofHanoi painters and artists. Continue by road to Hai Phong. Enjoy lunch at Harbor View hotel. Short city tour in the evening to indulge in this very charming seaport city, with visit to the flower market and Hang Kenh temple. This evening we enjoy a barbecue dinner at the hotel courtyard.

DAY 03   HAI PHONG – HA LONG BAY – HA NOI   (B/L/D)

Breakfast.

Discover Ha Long Bay in a new way, approach this world heritage of outstanding natural beauty by sea from Hai Phong. A 6-hour-cruise on a wooden junk designed in traditional style brings you a pleasant journey with blue sky, emerald water around you and visits of twinkle stalactite caves. Enjoy a fresh seafood lunch in Trong cave. We disembark at Ha Long quay and the bus will drive you back toHanoi. Dinner at a typical Vietnamese restaurant, enjoy authentic Vietnamese cuisine.

DAY 04   HA NOI –HUE     (B/L/D)

Breakfast.

Transfer to airport for the morning flight toHue, the last Vietnamese emperors’ capital. 30 minutes drive brings you from Phu Bai airport to the poetic town ofHue. We take a dragon boat upstream the Perfume River to the city’s oldest and most reverend pagoda, Thien Mu. Lunch withHue’s specialties at Tranquility Garden, owned by the former mandarin’s ascendant to whom you can have an interesting talk about traditional food and nutrition. In the afternoon, we visit the Imperial Citadel and the Forbidden Purple city, the place used to be the political and administrative headquarters and the residence of Royal family. Further we discover the tomb of Tu Duc King. This evening you will enjoy a special dinner, served in imperial formality with royal costume. Accommodation La Residence hotel, Deluxe room.

 

DAY 05   HUE – DA NANG    (B/L/D)

Breakfast.

Depart forDa Nang across the Hai Van Pass (Pass of the Ocean and Clouds), passing through many pretty red-tiled villages with fruit orchards, enjoying spectacular views of sky and sea. On arrival we visit Cham museum to view the finest collection of Cham sculptures. Lunch at Apsara, one of the famous Vietnamese restaurants inDa Nang. Proceed to Hoi An to discover a world cultural vestige, the ancient town which is used to be a prosperous seaport city during the 16th to 18th centuries. Wandering at the narrow streets and sense the feel of centuries past. Check-in Furama resort, overlooking Vietnam’s most famous stretch of white sand, China beach.

DAY 06   DA NANG    (B/L/D)

Breakfast. 

You have a full leisure day to enjoy the sun shine, the white sandy beach and perfect recreational facilities of the Furama Resort. Café Indochine is ready to serve you a set Vietnamese menu lunch and international buffet dinner.

DAY 07   DA NANG – HO CHI MINH CITY    (B/L/D)

Breakfast.

Transfer toDa Nang airport for flight toHo Chi Minh City, the cultural and commercial hub. Be met on arrival at Tan Son Nhat airport in Ho Chi Minh and transfer to Caravelle hotel combined with a short tour to the city centre. We pass by the famous sites including Reunification Hall, Notre Dame Church, Post Office, Grand Theatre, and the City Hall. Be welcomed at the hotel by little drummers. Express check-in and enjoy a glass of punch. Buffet lunch at hotel. Enjoy more free time at leisure. Cruise on Saigon River to Thanh Da islet and have dinner at Binh An villa, an elegantly appointed house located on the bank of Saigon River with Jazz music entertainment.

DAY 08    HO CHI MINH CITY – MY THO – HO CHI MINH CITY (B/L/D)

Breakfast.

A 2 hour-coach-trip brings you to My Tho, an abundant town at 80km southwest far fromHo Chi Minh city. A motor-boat drives you to an offshore island of My Tho where you could walk leisurely through a hamlet planting various kinds of tropical fruits and producing objects from coconut. Then you board on an arm-rowed sampan, sliding along small canals to Thoi Son island for lunch. Nice setting restaurant located in a spacious ornamental garden and genuine southern specialties will bring you the most enjoyable meal. Disembark in My Tho town then drive back toHo Chi Minh City. Gala dinner at hotel with live music band.

DAY 09  HO CHI MINH CITY - DEPARTURE   (B)
